Customer Service Representative / Local Dispatcher - Corona, CA

General Description

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative with dispatch experience to support transportation and logistics operations. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in the transportation and semiconductor industries who excels in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The position combines customer service responsibilities with local dispatch coordination to ensure efficient operations and high customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Dispatch Operations

  • Manage day-to-day customer service inquiries and provide timely, accurate support.
  • Coordinate dispatching of drivers, routing, and shipment tracking to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers, customers, agents, and internal teams.
  • Monitor shipment progress, update statuses, and communicate critical information across departments.

Fleet & Routing Coordination

  • Assist with daily planning and scheduling of local fleet operations to maximize manpower and equipment utilization.
  • Reallocate drivers and adjust routes in real time to address service disruptions.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient workflow and facility productivity.

Documentation & Systems Management

  • Maintain accurate order and shipment data within internal systems.
  • Upload and manage required documentation to support receivables tracking and operational reporting.
  • Document calls, routes, and service updates with detailed time tracking.
  • Maintain, edit, and approve service crew time records.

Driver & Customer Coordination

  • Coordinate labor for loading and unloading with interstate drivers.
  • Interface with customers and service teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve operational issues related to field service crew members.

Fleet Support

  • Assist with routine maintenance coordination and upkeep of the local truck fleet.

Systems & Tools Utilized

  • Transportation Management Systems (TMS): Dispatching, routing, shipment tracking, and ETA management
  • CLI / FACTS: Logistics coordination and order processing
  • Acordex: Dispatch communication, return authorization coordination, and messaging
  • Internal Routing Platforms: Scheduling, tracking, and operational documentation

Qualifications

  • Extensive customer service experience, preferably within transportation and semiconductor industries
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with standard office software and customer service systems

Schedule

  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Potential adjusted schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Compensation

  • $24.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience
